Selam Tesfaye, born on October 17, 1992, is a prominent Ethiopian film actress, celebrated for her leading roles in various films. Her remarkable talents have earned her multiple awards, most notably the Gumma Film Awards, solidifying her status as an iconic figure in the Ethiopian film industry.
Born in the military camp of “Tolay” in Harar, eastern Ethiopia, Selam Tesfaye later relocated to Humera and completed her education from the fourth to the tenth grade there. Her journey to Addis Ababa presented the challenge of learning Amharic, but her determination to excel in the film industry led her to become fluent in the language.
