18,930 houses will be included in the 20/80 lottery draw, while 6,843 dwellings will be included in the 40/80 lottery, according to the Addis Abeba City Administration. 25,791 homes will be up for grabs in all, including 300 three-bedroom 20/80 units that caused controversy by not being included in the previous lottery draw.
There will be 146,892 people who had adequate savings as of November 21, 2014.
For 2005 registrations, 300 three-bedroom homes will be available in the lottery.
Participants must save up 60 months’ worth of payments for 20/80 one- and two-bedroom condominium flats in order to be eligible for the lottery draw. Registrants are required to save 60-month worth of payments for 2005 three-bedroom apartments.
People who saved 40% or more up until Yekatit 21, 2014 will be included in the 40/60 lottery draw.
The 20/80 lottery draw will include 93,352 participants, while the 40/60 program will include 53,540 people.
